Nigerian filmmaker C.J. “Fiery” Obasi has set his next feature project, with the acclaimed director attached to helm “The Boy Who Runs”, a biographical drama based on the life of Ugandan long-distance runner and politician, Julius Achon.

CJ Obasi (@FieryCJ) will be producing, directing, and co-writing “The Boy Who Runs” alongside screenwriters Kirimi Kiage and Teddy Gitau. The biopic based on a book of the same title by John Brant on the life of the Ugandan athlete Julius Achon.

Kudi Maradzika is attached as the executive producer, with Mortinno Morton as co-producer.

Swiss-based studio 9 NIGHTS is producing in association with CJ Obasi’s production company, Fiery Film.
