Before WWII, there were around 70 recognized sovereign states in the world. The number grew to 180 to 185 after the end of the Cold War, and today there are about 195 recognized sovereign states, including 193 United Nations (UN) member states.
This Independence Day, we celebrate the many languages Pakistan speaks. And KFC is proud to speak them all, every single day.
So no matter what language you speak, you’ll always feel welcome, you’ll always belong, and you’ll always be understood.

Not everything that hurts is trauma. Not everything that feels good is learning.
There’s a tendency to pathologise discomfort. If a child finds something difficult, it’s trauma. If they’re confused, it’s harm. But confusion is part of learning. Struggle is necessary. And sometimes, the most profound insights are born from intellectual pain. Levinas calls this the encounter with the Other. Biesta calls it the gift of interruption.
It is, however, lovely to find out new stuff :)
@tombennett71 Few days ago my 5 years old daughter said the same thing to me. I felt like getting a cardiac arrest. Maybe beacsue we all are involved parents. When I asked her why she wants to go by herself she said I am a grown up girl now. They grow up so fast.
