Life insurance is only as complicated as you make it. I often hear financial advisers tell me that they don't write life insurance because of red tape, underwriting, and paperwork. Like other financial products, there will be some level of regulation surrounding life insurance...

but I haven't found those regulations to be very restrictive. As for underwriting, I see fully underwritten cases go inforce in as little as 5 days. Most carriers now allow policies to be issued without a medical exam at all. I get it. Nobody likes paperwork. But...
