@mmbrowning17@AmberLakeFarm This looks very similar to the White Gillette fig to me. Also called Croisic. And the leaf shape is pretty close to that as well!
@AmberLakeFarm@mmbrowning17 This can be a handful of varieties! Do you know if the inside is a bright red, dark red or amber color? That can help narrow it down!
Beautiful Bourjasotte Noire fig growing in a 1 gallon pot. Can’t wait for this one to fruit!
We are down to just 15 available varieties on our Etsy shop for starter plants, make sure to check the link below to get yours today!

Left - $10 pre-rooted fig from baker creek. Right ~$6 cutting from .@FigBuddies i rooted myself.
The baker creek plants were a hedge, but I had a 100% success rate with the cuttings despite just kinda winging it.
Obviously I put more than $4 worth of labor into rooting
@Trellitrelle_@KettlebellDan Great - I’d first recommend LSU Purple! This one was developed by the LSU agricultural department (so perfect for you in Baton Rouge), and is excellent in Zone 8!
I’d also say Papa John is a great choice that should grow well for you.

@DianeHC149904 Fantasia is another good one, gives a smooth berry flavor! White Gillette is a prolific grower and it tastes like a sugar bomb of flavor. Also, Brooklyn White reminds me of strawberries and the fruits are large. I could go on and on with delicious varieties 🤣
We’re back!! Took some time away to prep for our second release of fig trees - coming this week! We will have over 80 available, spanning 45+ varieties. Which variety are you hoping for?
@DianeHC149904 Oops - it doesn’t let me, ha! I’ll list them here. Colonel Littman’s Black Cross (CLBC) is a must try. Teramo is another one of my new favorites - it tastes like berry, sugar and honey all at once! Constantine de Algerie is great. It grows yellow like a lemon and tastes of honey!
