This film showcases a snapshot of the amazing work we do behind the scenes in Community. Never been prouder to be a #spqDN or to work on the ward without the walls that is @LCHNHSTrust
@YSTeachingNHS spent day in A&E majors as a patient yesterday. Understand refurbs but no access in waiting area to oxygen, crash trolley, emergency buzzer out of order. Elderly patients on trolleys outside of waiting area that nurses could not have eyes on. Please review safety
My mother and I are alone in Cairo. I canβt leave her here. Iβve called the UK embassy and they have offered me nothing.
Every day I am away from my work, my patients lives are at risk.
I need to bring my mother with me to England. Why is this inhumane policy adopted.
Massive thank you to your incredible midwives and maternity services who helped us welcome our baby boy into the world on good friday. Despite significant staffing challenges and closure to further admissions that day, my care was outstanding and we had a quick turnaround πβοΈ
While many people enjoy Easter with their family and friends, this is just a normal weekend at work for many staff across the NHS.
Thank you to everyone working this Bank Holiday, both in our hospitals and across the community, to continue providing care for our patients π
Easter weekend brought us the true celebration of "new life" when our hearts and family grew as we welcomed our gorgeous BOY into the world π Rupert Geoffrey Johnson you are so loved.
Huge Thank You @YSTeachingNHS maternity services for the outstanding care we both received.
Disgraceful that this behaviour, let alone LAW is allowed in the 21st century. A sad day and a huge step backwards for LGBTQ rights.
Imagine not being 'free' to be yourself π
Agree. Perhaps a clinical / non-clinical split would be appropriate? Whilst we rely on our non-clinical staff there is a vast difference in demand, expectations, responsibility and CPD/training between a nurse and say NHS PR/marketing executive. That should be reflected in pay
The pay offer is a disgrace in itself but the idea of a spine point just for nurses is divisive and insulting to our AHP colleagues. https://t.co/YmHygrQwC4
@theRCN fail to see how these wider commitments will support recruitment and retention. Should already be on the agenda! Without a fair pay rise it is still not appealing enough
The new offer on NHS pay in England includes wider commitments to better support the NHS nursing workforce.
Get to grips with the detail so youβre ready to vote on the offer from next week. https://t.co/f1W8NmSbBC
Nurses have been offered a pay increase of 5% for 2023-24 and a one-off payment worth between Β£1,655 and Β£3,789 for this year.
Do you think it is enough?
@charliersmith1 Hope you can see how far you have already come. And if you ask me, it's a good excuse to repeat the festive celebrations in 6 months time! Festive BBQ like Oz perhaps?!
Working hard (with tonsilitis!) on our #virtualward@LCHNHSTrust this weekend to keep our patients out of hospital. Please play your part to minimise pressures and enable people to access the right care in the right place. #HelpUsHelpYou
