@welovesweetboy_ there’s an important difference in who has the legal authority to legitimize a bastard in Westeros. A lord cannot legitimize a bastard on their own. Only the king (or queen on the Iron Throne) can do that

The family is a vast noble house with many branches based at Casterly Rock and elsewhere in the Westerlands.
