Heeseung,
Today marks three years, six months, and five days since I stumbled into this whirlwind of admiration and joy that being your fangirl has become? It feels like just yesterday that your music became the soundtrack to my life.
You, with your mesmerizing voice and stage
So artists openly posting about abusers, criminals, and violent offenders, supporting them, posting their songs, wearing their faces, romanticizing them, and turning them into an “aesthetic” is apparently fine, but BTS are the ones who received massive hate and even threats simply for attending a concert.
And now people are defending that weird behavior with “it’s just aesthetic,” “separate the art from the artist,” and “she probably doesn’t know anything about them.” Bs She’s 26, not a clueless child who has no understanding of what she’s posting. If you’re old enough to deliberately post controversial imagery and publicly engage with that kind of content, you’re old enough to be questioned about the hypocrisy behind it.
What’s even more ridiculous is watching people bend over backwards to excuse behavior they would have dragged BTS for instantly. Apparently “context matters” and “separate the art from the artist” only become valid arguments when it’s someone they want to defend. The selective outrage, double standards, and mental gymnastics are exactly why you shouldn’t take these people seriously. OMG, just don’t let their hypocrisy get to you.
"y'all try to cancel me for falling off a electric scooter, but your favs always fall off the charts how about worrying about it" WHAT THE JAJWJW I LOVE ARMYS 😭😭
