Si è svolta, presso il nostro stabilimento di Monfalcone, la cerimonia di consegna dei primi attestati del corso di educazione civica promosso da Fondazione Fincantieri in collaborazione con la Società Dante Alighieri, rivolto ai lavoratori stranieri delle imprese dell'indotto. All’evento hanno partecipato, per la Società Dante Alighieri, Lorenzo Rocca, Responsabile Progetti di ricerca, l’HR Business Partner dello Stabilimento di Monfalcone, Antonio Serao, e la nostra Head of Talent Acquisition, Learning, Development and Talent Management, Elisa Olivier.

In questa occasione sono stati consegnati i primi 12 attestati ai partecipanti che hanno completato il percorso formativo della durata di 50 ore, dedicato ai temi dell'educazione civica, dei diritti e dei doveri, della Costituzione, della cittadinanza e della partecipazione alla vita sociale e lavorativa. Ad oggi sono stati conclusi 32 corsi, per un totale di 1.600 ore di formazione, coinvolgendo complessivamente circa 950 lavoratori nei siti produttivi di Ancona, Marghera, Monfalcone, Muggiano, Riva Trigoso e Sestri. Nei prossimi mesi saranno pianificate ulteriori edizioni dei corsi di educazione civica, anche presso gli altri siti del Gruppo.

Questi percorsi si inseriscono nel più ampio impegno del Gruppo Fincantieri volto a sviluppare iniziative ad alto impatto sociale nei territori in cui opera e rientrano inoltre nelle iniziative di everyDEI, il programma con cui Fincantieri promuove diversità, equità e inclusione, valorizzando la formazione come leva per la crescita delle persone e per un futuro e un ambiente di lavoro più innovativo.

Together with our subsidiary VARD, we are proud to announce that NB 980 has departed from Vard Langsten, setting course for Japan and Toyo Construction Co. Ltd. This advanced hybrid cable-lay and construction vessel, with the VARD 9 15 design, is tailored for the growing Japanese offshore wind market and ready to operate worldwide.

The vessel features the latest sustainable technologies, including a large battery pack and a cutting-edge energy management system. Its flexible design allows it to support a wide range of offshore activities, from cable laying to foundation and mooring work.

Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding – part of our US subsidiary Fincantieri Marine Group – welcomed a national treasure to the Sturgeon Bay shipyard: the USS Silversides, a decorated WWII submarine, arrived for a three-month preservation project.

During the dry dock period, specialists at FBS will perform a comprehensive restoration effort, including hull cleaning, structural inspections, and the application of advanced protective coatings to ensure long-term stability. The vessel has not been in dry dock for preservation for more than 50 years, according to the USS Silversides Museum.

USS Silversides is one of the most decorated units of World War II, and we are proud to support the preservation of this historic submarine, drawing on our craftsmanship, expertise, and long-standing shipbuilding experience to safeguard history as we look to the future with ever-greater confidence.

Il progetto Doers On Board, nato per unire esperienza sportiva e crescita organizzativa utilizzando la vela come strumento di formazione, team building e sviluppo della leadership, è stato presentato nel corso di un evento dedicato presso il nostro Cantiere di Sestri Ponente, alla presenza del Presidente della Regione Liguria Marco Bucci e di altre autorità del territorio.

Nel corso del 2026 Doers On Board coinvolgerà oltre 500 dipendenti provenienti da cantieri, direzioni e società del Gruppo - di cui oltre 270 hanno già preso parte alle attività di team building e sviluppo della leadership - portando l'esperienza formativa direttamente nei diversi siti del Gruppo, favorendo l'incontro tra persone con competenze, ruoli ed esperienze differenti e rafforzando il senso di appartenenza a un'unica realtà aziendale.

Un progetto che si sviluppa attraverso due dimensioni complementari: da un lato il percorso di team building e formazione, dall'altro la partecipazione della barca del Gruppo alle principali regate del calendario velico, con un equipaggio composto interamente da dipendenti Fincantieri.

Un’esperienza che si inserisce nei percorsi di formazione e sviluppo della leadership promossi da Fincantieri in cui il mare diventa un ambiente in cui sperimentare dinamiche fondamentali per il lavoro di squadra, portando a bordo i valori che guidano le nostre scelte e il nostro impegno nel mantenere la rotta verso un futuro più innovativo.

We hosted an Industry Day in Zagreb, bringing together the Croatian industrial ecosystem to explore opportunities for cooperation across shipbuilding, engineering, advanced manufacturing and defense.

Under the patronage of the Embassy of Italy in Croatia, the event brought together representatives from the Croatian Government, Parliament and institutions, leading Italian institutions, as well as more than 20 local companies, offering an important opportunity to identify industrial capabilities and competences that could contribute to the program, while supporting long-term value creation for Croatia’s shipbuilding and defense sectors.

Among the participants were the Ambassador of Italy to Croatia, Paolo Trichilo, State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Croatia, Matej Bule, Chairperson - Foreign Affairs Committee Croatian Parliament, Andro Krstulović Opara, Director of Department I - Industrial Policy and International Relations Department of the Italian National Armaments Directorate (DNA), Major General Luigi Casali, our VP Sales Naval Vessels Division, Mauro Manzini, and our VP International Institutional Affairs, Carlo Romeo.

The initiative further built on the momentum created by the Memoranda of Understanding signed recently with Croatian shipyards Brodotrogir Cruise d.o.o. and Iskra Shipyard LLC, reflecting our commitment to leverage our global expertise in naval shipbuilding, advanced maritime technologies and underwater capabilities to bring on board a more innovative and collaborative future.

We are proud to announce the signing of the eighth contract amendment with OCCAR (Organisation for Joint Armament Co-operation) under the U212 NFS (Near Future Submarine) program, related to the construction of four next-generation submarines currently being built for the Italian Navy at our Muggiano shipyard.

The agreement extends the scope of the activities assigned to Fincantieri under the program. The amendment includes the introduction of new technological capabilities through the integration of countermeasure systems developed by WASS and the enhancement of logistics support activities. The contract amendment will also allow the delivery of the program’s fourth submarine to be brought forward by two years, from 2034 to 2032, enabling the Italian Navy to receive one new submarine per year starting in 2029.

The U212 NFS program represents a significant evolution compared with the previous U212A-class submarines, featuring a more mature design, a higher level of national technological content and greater integration of onboard systems. The integration of the new WASS-developed countermeasure solutions represents a further step forward in enhancing the operational capabilities of the vessels while capitalizing on the technological and industrial expertise developed across the Group to support the Italian Navy throughout the entire lifecycle of the submarines.

Through an integrated ecosystem, we cover the entire underwater value chain, delivering high-value solutions, preserving and enhancing Italy’s national industrial know-how, and reinforcing our role as design authority and prime contractor. The Muggiano Integrated Shipyard, a historic center of excellence, once again confirms itself as one of the leading international references in the sector, demonstrating outstanding production and organizational capabilities in responding effectively to the evolving global defense environment.

Today, at our Sestri Ponente shipyard in Genoa, we celebrated the delivery of Explora III, the third ship we have built for Explora Journeys, MSC Group's luxury ocean travel brand.

Built to the highest standards, the Explora Journey vessels represent the very best of Made in Italy. Advanced environmental technologies have been incorporated throughout the fleet, enabling engines to be switched off and reducing emissions to virtually zero while in port. In addition, Explora III is the first vessel in the fleet – together with the ships to follow in the series – to be powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), a fuel capable of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by up to 20% compared with conventional marine fuels. The vessels are also capable of operating on renewable and next-generation fuels, including bio-LNG, synthetic LNG and biofuels, while Explora V and Explora VI will additionally feature fuel cells, an innovative technology capable of generating energy more efficiently and supporting the industry's pathway towards net-zero emissions, ahead of the industry’s 2050 target.

Among those attending the event were the President of the Liguria Region, Marco Bucci, the Mayor of Genoa, Silvia Salis, Admiral Inspector Antonio Ranieri, Maritime Director for Liguria and Commander of the Port of Genoa, the President of the Western Ligurian Sea Port Authority, Matteo Paroli , welcomed by our Chairman, Biagio Mazzotta, our CEO, Pierroberto Folgiero, our General Manager of the Merchant Ships Division, Luigi Matarazzo, and the shipyard director, Massimo Canesin, together with Diego Aponte, MSC Group President, Pierfrancesco Vago, Executive Chairman of MSC Group's Cruise Division, President of Explora Journeys and other senior executives from Fincantieri and MSC Group.

With the delivery of Explora III, three of the six vessels planned for the fleet are now in service, while the remaining three are all under construction and will enter service within the next two years – Explora IV and Explora V in 2027, followed by Explora VI in 2028 – completing the fleet programme entrusted to Fincantieri.
This significant milestone confirms Liguria’s central role within our industrial ecosystem and highlights our unique, cutting-edge expertise, reflecting our Group’s commitment to a more sustainable future.

The steel-cutting ceremony of the second of two next-generation FREMM frigates of the “EVOLUTION” version, known as “FREMM EVO”, took place at our Riva Trigoso shipyard, in the presence, among others, of the Director of the Naval Armaments Directorate - NAVARM, Admiral Chief Inspector Cristiano Nervi, our General Manager Naval Vessels Division, Eugenio Santagata and of the CEO of Orizzonte Sistemi Navali, Giovanni Sorrentino.

The “FREMM EVO” units will be at the cutting-edge of naval military craft - in terms of technology and performance - thanks to advanced technologies, the latest anti-drone capabilities and specific solutions aimed at improving the ships’ green footprint. The units will also be fitted with highly dependable equipment, relying on robust maintenance plans to ensure their readiness for action, with high levels of operational availability.

We are proud to announce that our subsidiary Vard has signed a contract for the design and construction of two multi-function Buoy and Lighthouse Maintenance Vessels for Trinity House, the General Lighthouse Authority for England, Wales, the Channel Islands and Gibraltar.

Based on the VARD 9 601 design — developed by Vard Marine in Canada in collaboration with Vard Design in Norway — the vessels are conceived as highly versatile multi-role platforms, and they will combine buoy tending operations, hydrographic survey activities and emergency response capabilities. The units will feature hybrid propulsion systems and battery energy storage solutions designed to reduce fuel consumption and environmental impact, enabling zero-emission operations while alongside and supporting more efficient operations during transit and dynamic positioning.

In addition to their advanced environmental performance, the vessels will integrate modern digital and cybersecurity capabilities designed to support the secure and resilient operation of onboard systems.

This new contract – that also includes a training partnership involving VARD, Trinity House and Vard Marine in Canada, promoting international knowledge exchange and supporting the development of maritime skills through dedicated apprentice and student programs - further reinforces VARD's position in the market for advanced specialized vessels, highlighting our role in driving innovation, sustainability and technological development towards a more innovative future.

We are proud to announce the signing of a contract with the Qatar Emiri Naval Forces (QENF) for the operational management of the Training and Simulation Centre (TSC). The three-year agreement aims to support the Qatari Navy in the operational training of its crews through advanced simulation activities, helping maintain high levels of readiness and operational effectiveness.

Delivered in 2021, the Training and Simulation Centre is a key component of the Qatari Navy’s training infrastructure, designed to support the integrated training of naval personnel through advanced simulation systems.

The service will be delivered by a highly qualified team composed primarily of former military personnel with extensive experience in naval operations, platform management, operational procedures and key maritime doctrines, while Fincantieri personnel will ensure the full operability of the Center, supporting QENF personnel through a progressive knowledge-transfer program designed to enable the Qatari Navy to achieve increasing autonomy in managing the system.

The signing of this contract marks a further step in the longstanding partnership between Fincantieri and the Qatari Navy - following the successful delivery of seven naval vessels and related support capabilities – expanding our role from provider of advanced naval platforms to long-term partner in the development of operational capabilities, training and knowledge transfer towards a safer and more innovative future.

Together with our subsidiary VARD, we have successfully delivered NB 964 to Windward Offshore GmbH & Co. KG from Vard Vung Tau, ahead of the contractual delivery date. This achievement highlights our ongoing commitment to delivering excellence with precision and reliability.

As the third in a series of four advanced hybrid Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOVs) for Windward Offshore, this vessel is purpose-built to support offshore wind operations. It combines energy-efficient technology, operational flexibility, and a high standard of crew comfort, reflecting our vision for a more sustainable maritime industry.

Every delivery represents a tangible step forward in the energy transition at sea.
