I really enjoyed this psychological thriller by Freida McFadden. It was a multi-layered mystery from various viewpoints that left you appalled at the evils of domestic abuse.
This mystery novel by Mary Kubica was interesting. A lot of present to past chapters with multiple characters’ viewpoints culminating in a plot twist. Sometimes your enemy is closer to home.
This book by Gillian McAllister has a very unique style of writing: the author finds clues to a crime by going back in time. I read faster and faster as the main character travelled farther back in time. A great read!
This was a very interesting book by Kristina McMorris about how an escape artist becomes an asset to British military intelligence during WW2. A realistic ending of love and loss.
This was an interesting yet disturbing book about a family that allows others to move in with them. Twenty-five years later a daughter inherits the house.
A little bit more serious type of book from Elin Hilderbrand. She writes about a specific family’s experiences while highlighting some of the tragedies of the Vietnam War, the Chappaquiddick incident involving Ted Kennedy, and man landing on the moon.
A different type of book but one I found interesting. I have a daughter who has ASD and I could understand this character’s differences in relating to others through our conversations. The ending brought a few surprises.
On a more serious note, this next book broke my heart. It highlights the lack of freedom many women still experience. The end of the book left you with a glimmer of hope for this woman and others she would educate.
