@taco_talks This was entertaining. You sound confident, but if all your videos are as poorly informed about their subjects as this is about Muslims, then I worry about your followers. Scary shit.
@Compoundingzero@astrooalert I merely asking a question to educate myself. I believe second order thinking and metacognition are two different things, albeit adjacent.
One focuses on outward consequences, the other on inward awareness. It's an important distinction, but I could be wrong.
@Lovandfear Song of Solomon. I put it in hiatus for a bit to complete Careless People, but I’m back to it and, as ever, completely in awe of Toni Morrison’s skill as a writer. I think she is underrated
@JakeTropila Ahhh I love his prose. For a second I thought it was East of Eden, but there’s something poignant about his prose. It’s also clean, devoid of flourish, but no less powerful
@nathanbaugh27 Given that you lean towards Fantasy and Sci-Fi, based on a cursory view of your profile, I'd recommend the Tazu Saga by J. Leigh or The Gam3 by Cosimo Yap. They are gems that you find by, imho, going off the beaten path of contemporary Fantasy and Sci-Fi.
@YourTswanaBabe@SABCNews No. What he is saying, to put it extremely simply, is that, when the parents business partners fight (the government) it may affect the salary of the parents or the amount they earn, which will also affect the chikdren (the citizens).
@Big_Mck This is actually quite probable. And what is actually sad, besides the fact that most seem oblivious, is that our leaders are dancing to the tune. At the end of the day, the biggest question is this: who benefits after the chips fall.
@CitiLadBaron@MrJamesKe This is not a good take. The government, if it is serious about the wellbeing of its people, needs to invest in education. All this would have been avoidable if people knew the right things to criticise to improve the welfare of the state.
@Mtho2ko@busiwe_bubu But the difference is very important. I'm saying that if you put me in a competition with a white man, everything equal, we both have an equal chance of winning. But you're saying (and perhaps you don't realise it) that if the white man enters the competition, automatic loss.
@sbudamow@busiwe_bubu When you say, "they", who are you referring to? If I'm not mistaken, demographers both from the UN & your government uses statistical and mathematical models like the Residual Method to come up with these numbers. Are you saying they are lying or the math they are doing is wrong.
@Mtho2ko@busiwe_bubu Using this same analogy, you cannot say that I (the breaker of legs) is better than you (the father of the victim). The only thing that separates us is the depth we are willing to go to achieve our goals.
@Mtho2ko@busiwe_bubu That is a colonial mindset. If you had a child, and I kept breaking his legs every time they are close to fully healed, how do you expect him to grow up to become a champion runner? In this analogy, you are Africa, I am the West.
