Currently, the cost of public transport in Ireland is amongst the highest in Europe. YFG is focused on improving the frequency of public transport services throughout Ireland to make it more affordable and accessible to the consumer.
It’s time for #betterpublictransport
Ross, our Youth Officer, stood before the Minister on behalf of this branch to call for an overdue overhaul of Direct Provision in 2018. Our motion had overwhelming support. Therefore, we welcome his acknowledgment of the need for ‘root and branch reform’. Let’s get it done.
@NiambhScullion @yfg@FGFingal1@AlanFarrell@tomoleary888@alavin1 Of course. We’ll be a better committee for it. I’ve seen this improvement first hand, having been part of addressing gender imbalances on committees at university. Another reason why I took on the role. Will do our very best to emulate that here. Appreciate the engagement, Ross.
It was great to sit down with @_Johnson_YT_ as part of his ‘Young People in Politics’ series to discuss my membership of @FineGael, what keeps me going, social progress, the future and more!
Our mental health services must be protected in the wake of #COVID19 and the impending economic crisis. I was quoted in this week’s edition of the Fingal Independent:
On 23 May 2015, Ireland made history. We became the first country to vote to legalise Marriage Equality.
Our constituency of Dublin North (as it was then) had the second highest YES vote in Ireland, at 72.61%. #MarRefMemories 🏳️🌈
The fight for LGBT+ equality isn’t over. Today:
• 73 countries criminalise same-sex activity
• only 28 countries allow same-sex marriage
• states roll back trans rights
• conversion therapy is still legal
Stand against homophobia, biphobia and transphobia. #IDAHOBIT2020

We are living in very difficult and uncertain times, but the rule of law is essential. We’re calling on Hungary’s Fidesz party to be expelled from the @EPP
For the past few weeks, the Government and our public services have been focused on the impact of Covid 19.
In that time, we have taken several important and unprecedented measures to protect public health.
We have been preparing for all eventualities.
