I am leaving Twitter for good. This place became unusable. I will check all my mutuals later today for the links to other places. I’m on Bluesky here too:
STOP A l'IMPUNITÉ !!

People like Musk and Altman are the reason why respected and profitable tech industry will be perceived as useless, incompetent and overall not worth investing. Thousands of prestigious jobs will disappear because of these clowns.
Multiple operators confirmed that the Optimus bots at Tesla's event on Friday were remote-controlled. Here are two examples. Both operators used the term "human-assisted" to create a more favorable impression, which suggests they were instructed to use that term.
However, since the questions were specifically about remote control, it’s clear that the answer was yes. Tesla is just trying to put their best foot forward by using the term "human-assisted" instead of "remote-controlled," which is typical of the company.
@MysteryGuitarM Or, just maybe, hire more artists and listen to their input to produce work in time?! By hiring more creatives you nurture not just incoming talent and professional growth, but actually support, you know, economy.
@jadel4w I’ve been to gdc last year, and what I can tell u from my own observations, they’re not interested in creative part of gamedev at all. It’s not about making games, it’s about making money by scamming investors into crypto and blockchain. I expected more.
The most artsy person in the world states that ai is not art and art can never be created with ai, but aibro crowd in the comments will loose their shit trying to prove him wrong.
Guillermo del Toro gives his thoughts on AI and the value of art:
“AI has demonstrated that it can do semi-compelling screensavers. That’s essentially that. The value of art is not how much it costs and how little effort it requires, it’s how much would you risk to be in its presence.
How much would people pay for those screensavers? Are they gonna make them cry because they lost a son? A mother? Because they misspent their youth? Fuck no.”

I was done with my first sjm book when the most famously dangerous professional assassin (who’s 18 yo btw) spent two pages thinking how she could kill everyone with a book because there were no sharp objects to kill with around and then casually wrote a letter with a glass pen.
was feeling sad then remembered that sarah j mass shamelessly put the hand of the king (a role grrm made up) in her books because she thought it was a genuine medieval court position
