I want that boring Muslim life. Isha then sleep. Fajr before the world wakes up. Qur’an in the quiet. Gym. Halal food. Dhikr walks. Sunnahs. A small circle that actually reminds you of Allah. Less posting. Less explaining. Less being available to everybody. More solitude. More prayer. More peace. And if somebody thinks your life looks boring? Fine. You’re not building your life for their entertainment. Sometimes the most beautiful thing is simply being close to Allah and hard to disturb.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Jibril came to me and said: `O Muhammad, live as long as you want, for you will die. Love whomever you want, for you will leave him. Do whatever you want for you will be requited for it.”

One day, we will leave without a goodbye.
We will depart, leaving behind all our dreams, pains, memories, worries and those we loved.

Our shadows will no longer be seen, our hearts will seize to beat, our voices will fade away and we will unwillingly leave people we loved and those who grew attached to us.

When this happens and it will inevitability happen, all what we need at such times is your sincere duaa.

Everything has an end to it, and our end is when we leave everything behind us and start our eternal life, hopefully in the gardens of Eden!

As I hurried to catch my flight from Jeddah, I hired a Pakistani driver from Mecca. Seeing his humble demeanor, I invited him to share lunch with me at my hotel. With tears in his eyes, he said,
