A brutal and senseless murder of children breaks millions of hearts. But there was courage.

In Bend, Oregon, an armed citizen followed the attacker into the school and stopped him before police arrived—preventing further loss of life.

Courage saved lives.

Major Second Amendment ruling: The Third Circuit rejected a lifetime federal gun ban as applied to a man with a nonviolent DUI conviction. In a companion case, it upheld disarmament for a defendant whose convictions involved violence and threats. The facts—and actual risk—matter.

2A RIGHTS-RESTORATION WIN

On Oct. 13, the Third Circuit ruled the federal gun ban unconstitutional as applied to Edward Williams over his DUI conviction. This is an individual victory—not automatic nationwide restoration.

A major 2A win: ATF will no longer enforce federal NFA approval and registration rules for certain suppressors, short-barreled rifles and shotguns, and other covered firearms. Background checks and state laws still apply.

THE 2A FIGHT IS AT THE BALLOT BOX

Gun-rights organizations have contributed under $2M so far, while gun-control groups are pouring tens of millions into key congressional races.

Freedom needs more than support—it needs turnout.

A major win for gun owners: ATF says it will no longer require prior approval or NFA registration for certain short-barreled rifles, shotguns, silencers and “any other weapons.” Key GCA rules remain in force. Freedom advances.

MAJOR 2A DEVELOPMENT

DOJ moved to dismiss its appeal in FPC v. ATF after concluding the federal handgun-sales ban for adults ages 18–20 violates the Second Amendment and should not be enforced nationwide.

A major win for young adults.

SCOTUS declined 48 firearm-law petitions—including 37 challenges to lifetime felon bans. Denial isn’t a merits ruling, but it underscores why fair, individualized restoration matters. Rights should turn on present danger—not a permanent label. @EagleEdMartin #2A #GunRights

YOUR RIGHTS DON’T END AT THE STATE LINE

FPC is suing Colorado and Denver over laws that leave residents of 15 states and D.C. without a lawful way to carry for self-defense in Denver.

The case is just beginning—but the principle is fundamental.

2A WIN: A federal judge blocked Connecticut’s new ban on “convertible pistols” hours before it took effect, finding the challenged provision likely unconstitutional. It’s a preliminary injunction—not a final ruling—but a major check on overreach.

MAJOR 2A VICTORY

The Fifth Circuit struck down the federal ban on direct interstate handgun purchases, ruling that constitutional rights do not stop at state lines.

A circuit split may now put this issue before the Supreme Court.

DOJ is taking action against firearm purchase delays in Minnesota, Minneapolis and St. Paul—challenging waiting periods that can force law-abiding citizens to wait up to 60 days.
