Lions are still paying the price for trading away Slay. If they move someone like Okudah, who should be a part of their future, Holmes has no idea what he’s doing. I’m OK with Hock trade though, because they weren’t likely to resign him and they can get a good TE with later picks
I’m kind of surprised to see Brockers on the list of Lions’ potential trade candidates. If he can’t get playing time on the NFL’s worst defense, why would anyone trade for him?
The Lions have been rebuilding since 1957. None of them have worked. 23 games into their latest attempt , they're the worst team in the league once again. But ownership still believes.

Definitely a worse case scenario for the Lions’ 2021 2nd round pick whom we hoped would turn a corner this year. He’ll only have 2 years left on his rookie contract after this year.
Say it louder for the people in the back. Haha.
People are acting like the new regimes for the Jets and Giants took over teams that were ready to win.
That isn’t true at all; they were in just as poor shape as the Lions.
@ld5215 @Dinordo@DetroitPodcast I hope he will but who knows? Coming back from a torn ACL we don’t know what we’ll get. Onwuzurike and Paschal are also dealing injuries lingering from college. Chark has a history of injuries too. Betting on injured players is very risky. That’s why other teams passed on them.
@LydaySports Although we have seen very little from the drafts so far and sure some players could may be late bloomers, but I’d be more patient if he showed us something from free agency or trades but that hasn’t happened either.
Just curious does ANYONE think has Brad Holmes has been an effective GM? Other than St. Brown I don't think there's much reason to be optimistic about him running the team.
@LydaySports St Brown was a nice pickup, I already said that, Rodrigo’s had flashes but there should be more than 1 of those guys per draft. Last week SEA had lots of rookies contributing. Try watching a team other than the Lions and you’ll have a better idea what I’m talking about.
@LydaySports I can’t think of a single position group that has improved since 2020. I mean, all that draft capital, shouldn’t 1 position group improve? Just ONE at least??? There’s drafts and trades too, but none of those have panned out either. I mean, seriously what has he done well?
@LydaySports Alim McNeil has not shown enough to warrant a 3rd rounder
Sewell’s a beast, but 7th overall so he better be. Too 10 picks should be gimmes
We’ll see about Williams but torn ACL at #12 is awfully risky. Usually injured players don’t go that high.
@LydaySports Completely miscalculated the Josh Paschal college injury. After wasting last year’s 2nd rounder on Onwuzurike who can’t stay healthy
Did NOTHING to make the defense respectable in the off-season
I think Hutchinson will be OK, but I think we can agree we expected more so far.
