Today Gerrards Cross Fire Station received a Commendation from Chief Fire Officer Thelwell and @CllrSimonRouse. This was awarded for their efforts during an unprecedented summer in 2022 dealing with local fires, in extremely arduous conditions @Bucksfire

A big thank you to two members of the #Hedgerley community who decided to do some baking for the firefighters here at Gerrards Cross Fire Station.

These are very much appreciated after some long and arduous days spent tackling field fires nearby recently.

Ten appliances attended with crews from Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire.

Congratulations to our very own CC Millward who today received recognition for giving life saving CPR to a young boy from the local area. Here is DCFO Osborne presenting the Commendation. Chris also received a certificate from the Royal Humane Society for his actions. @Bucksfire

A Pumping drill with a purpose this afternoon. A small pond in Chalfont St Peter, that is home to lots of wildlife, was close to drying out. Crews carefully filled the pond using water from a nearby stream, pumped by our Light Portable Pump. @Bucksfire @StPeterVillage #pondlife
