The #Tunnel5Fire has grown to 533 acres with evacuations in place. According to #WADNR structures have been lost.

Priorities today: Public & FF safety, structure protection, protect critical infrastructure & natural resource values at risk.

They are assigned to a fire being managed by an Australian Incident Management Team!

Minnesota - The Spice Lake Fire is transitioning back to the local forest.
Quick initial attack coupled with aviation resources coordinated by a type III team kept this fire small and manageable.

#Wildfire prep Tip Three: 30-100 feet around your home!

Reduce overgrown trees & increase space between trees. Improving tree spacing will help keep fire from catching the treetops on fire, creating a crown fire. Remove dead trees & yard debris which have fallen over the winter.

#Wildfire prep, 5-30 feet around your home: Reduce flammable vegetation, mow regularly & trim/prune branches six feet off the ground, reducing fire running up trees. Plant native plants, which are more fire-resistant & natural to the landscape.
