These are Ali Larijani’s remarks made before the war launched against Iran. a war in which Larijani himself was assassinated.
In these remarks, Larijani issues an explicit warning to the United States and the West: Iran has no intention of developing nuclear weapons. But make no mistake: if you make the grave mistake of launching a war against Iran and attacking its nuclear facilities, we will take a different course.
A great deal of time has passed since the martyred Larijani delivered this warning to White House and NATO.
Iran has long since made up its mind, both about its own strategic course and about the terms on which it will engage with the West.
The West must confront the reality of Iran’s power and prepare for peaceful coexistence with a powerful Iran.
Not a single gram of uranium will leave Iran, and the Strait of Hormuz will never return to the status quo that existed before February 28, 2026. Establishing a nuclear deterrent is no longer merely an inalienable right of the Iranian people, particularly in light of the lessons of the past fifteen months; it has become an existential and strategic necessity for our security, survival, and future. The world will soon witness the full realization of this self-evident right and see for itself the consequences of Trump's criminal folly and the deceitful, hypocritical complicity of NATO members in the US-Israeli aggression against Iran.
Any agreement from this point forward will require Washington and the US-led imperialist bloc, together with its NATO allies, to fully acknowledge and accept Iran's rights, demands, and expectations. Make no mistake: Iran will never relinquish its sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz, under any circumstances or as part of any agreement. Even if Iran were offered ten trillion dollars in exchange for restoring the Strait to its prewar status, answer would remain the same. A century of concessions is over. Your century-long holiday, enjoyed thanks to Iran’s extraordinary generosity in the Strait of Hormuz is over. The days of granting the West and its allies free and unrestricted access to Hormuz are over. Iran will never again make such a concession to any power.
Ever since the Anglo-American coup of 1953 against the national government of Dr. Mohammad Mossadegh, the West has waged a campaign of sanctions, threats, conspiracies, and hostility against Iran and the Iranian people.
From the 1979 Revolution to this day, the West has subjected us relentlessly to some of the harshest and most vicious sanctions, threats, conspiracies, and all-out pressure.
But today, the time has come to settle accounts.
Washington and NATO members have no choice but to come to terms with the new reality and from now on, engage with Iran humbly and with their heads bowed and reap the benefits of doing so

Mohammed bin Salman has been the biggest losers in the Middle East’s recent geopolitical developments.
He failed to understand Kissinger’s warning about the dangers of relying on America:
“It may be dangerous to be America’s enemy, but to be America’s friend is fatal.”
Conformity means saying something you already know is wrong just because everyone else is saying it.
Solomon Asch showed this in the 1950s with a simple line-matching test.
Alone, people almost never got it wrong. When a group all gave the wrong answer on purpose, people went along about a third of the time.
They could still see the right line. They just didn’t want to say it out loud. People do this for two reasons:
they don’t want to stand out or get rejected, so they agree publicly even when they know it’s wrong, and they assume the group must know something they don’t, so they start doubting their own eyes. Unanimity matters more than how many people are in the group. If even one other person gives the correct answer, most of the effect disappears.
That’s why a manufactured consensus works: a small coordinated group speaks first, repeats the same wrong answer confidently, and makes it look like the question is already settled.
Every new person who joins makes the “majority” look even bigger to the next person. Doubt turns into silence, and silence gets treated as agreement.
Once this happens, the idea can keep spreading even after the original people who started it are gone. An old experiment showed that a completely made-up rule, planted by a few people, kept getting passed on to new people who never met the originals.
Over time, public agreement can turn into private belief and become part of people’s identity. Then the group itself starts policing anyone who disagrees, so outside pressure is no longer needed. Later corrections barely work. Once people have accepted something, they tend to stick with the original conclusion even after the evidence is removed, and the original claim keeps influencing people more than the later correction.
Changing your mind in public feels like defecting from the group, so most people stay quiet. This pattern shows up wherever copying the public answer is easier than actually checking:
political messaging, fake grassroots campaigns, meetings staged to look unanimous, or pile-ons that punish the first person who objects. The private, correct answer was available the whole time. What actually spread was the social cost of saying it.
"It sounds like you did say it, even though you just said you didn't?"
