Thanks @StockBoxMedia for speaking with FDR CEO @TristanPottas about our return to Lander West.

⛏️ Bedrock #gold confirmed—but how does that guide the next holes?

Tristan explains how drilling, geology, geochemistry and geophysics have sharpened our Stage II targets, and why sulphide-bearing dolerite at Red Handed is a useful guide for follow-up.

The objective: higher grades, greater mineralised thickness and continuity.

First Development Resources Returns to Lander West for Stage II Gold Drilling

@StockBoxMedia spoke to Tristan Pottas, CEO of @FirstDevRes about returning to Lander West following confirmation of bedrock gold.

Watch here: https://t.co/ONcDFbDDzZ

➡️Stage I results confirming bedrock gold in six of eight holes showing gold anomalism.

➡️The significance of hole 26LWR08, which intersected 7m at 0.40 g/t gold.

➡️How geological, geochemical and geophysical data have refined exploration targets.

[First Development Resources @FirstDevRes]

Alongside confirming mobilisation for Stage II RC drilling, today’s announcement also marks the completion of soil sampling at Lander West.

🧪 Why did we do it?

To fill gaps in historical sampling and build a more consistent dataset for gold and associated elements across the wider target area.

⏭️ Next Steps:

We’ll combine the results with geology, geophysics and previous drilling to refine our understanding and rank targets for future exploration.

✅ Samples are being prepared for dispatch to ALS Laboratory in Adelaide.

Stage II drilling will progress independently, testing targets already identified from Stage I and the existing datasets.

Focused drilling around confirmed bedrock gold, supported by a wider search for the next targets.

Thank you @Share_Talk for covering our return to Lander West.

We’re heading back with #gold mineralisation confirmed in bedrock and a clearer picture of where to drill next.

By combining the Stage I results with historical geochemistry, geological interpretation and geophysical surveys, we’ve sharpened the targets for this next programme.

The objective is straightforward:

⛏️ Find higher gold grades
⛏️ Test for greater mineralised thickness
⛏️ Assess continuity along strike and down dip

This is how we designed Phase I to progress—use what we learn from each stage to guide the next holes.

Looking forward to getting the drill turning again in the Northern Territory!

⛏️ The bigger picture | Why does this matter for FDR investors?

Early-stage gold exploration is about progressively reducing geological uncertainty.

Drilling provides direct geological information from specific locations beneath the surface.

Soil sampling can help identify geochemical patterns across a much wider area.

Combined with geological mapping and geophysical surveys, these techniques help build a clearer understanding of a potentially mineralised system.

At Lander West, FDR is using a systematic exploration approach to investigate both the gold mineralisation already identified and the potential for additional mineralised areas across the wider project.

💡 Drilling tells us what is present at specific locations beneath the surface. Soil sampling helps us understand where else to look.

The objective is to build a stronger geological understanding, generate better-quality exploration targets and deploy capital where it has the greatest potential to create value.

🟡 FDR Exploration Insights | Why Soil Sampling Matters at Lander West

When exploring for gold, drilling tends to attract the headlines. But understanding where to drill, and why, is just as important.

At Lander West in Australia’s Northern Territory, FDR is currently undertaking a soil sampling programme designed to improve our understanding of the wider gold potential.

So what does soil sampling involve, what are we looking for, and how does it contribute to our broader exploration strategy? 👇

[First Development Resources @FirstDevRes]

🧪 Why look for elements other than gold?

Gold isn’t always the only clue to a potential gold system.

Geologists also analyse pathfinder elements, including arsenic and antimony, which can sometimes occur alongside gold mineralisation.

These elements can provide valuable information about the geological processes responsible for forming a mineralised system.

📊 What should investors look for when results are reported?

It’s not necessarily about finding the highest gold value in an individual sample.

Of greater interest are coherent patterns of anomalous results, particularly where they align with favourable geological structures, magnetic features or previous drilling evidence.

Importantly, a soil anomaly is not proof of an economic gold deposit. It is an exploration indicator that can help guide further investigation.
