A final-year law student, Rishi Kumar from Tamil Nadu National Law University, refuses to delete his blog criticising the Supreme Courtโฆ despite pressure from his own university.
Why?
Because the administration allegedly received calls from advocates, judges, and others claiming the post harms the institutionโs โreputation.โ
The blog titled โThe Supreme Court of India Has No Spineโ questioned the courtโs decision to ban an NCERT textbook chapter on judicial corruption.
But hereโs the real issue:
A law student is being told to silence himselfโฆ for expressing a legal opinion.
His response?
Clear and powerful:
โMy opinions are mineโฆ you do not own my voice or my conscience.โ
He even said heโs ready to face disciplinary action rather than back down.
This isnโt just about one blog.
This is about academic freedom vs institutional pressure.
If law studentsโฆ the future of the judiciary are discouraged from questioning the system,
then who exactly is allowed to question it?
Criticism of institutions โ disrespect.
Silencing criticism = weakening democracy.
A tragic road accident on the Mohaddipur flyover in #Gorakhpur has claimed the life of Aakash Pandey, a 3rd-year MBBS student of BRD Medical College.
He belonged to lower middle class family and was the only son, carrying the hopes and dreams of his entire family.
According to reports, a speeding car rammed into two scooters and a bike. Aakash Pandey died on the spot, while two others were critically injured and rushed to AIIMS. Sadly, one of them later succumbed to injuries.
The accused driver is reportedly politically well-connected and has multiple traffic challans for overspeeding and other violations.
The law must act without fear or influence.
Justice must prevail.

โน103 CRORES looted, and cases conveniently CLOSED. THIS is how governments openly rob income-tax payers and protect the rich, powerful, and politically connected. What punishment did these culprits get?
Jail? NO
Recovery of money? NO
Lifetime ban? NO
But miss โน200 in tax and @IncomeTaxIndia will hunt you down like a criminal, notices, penalties, harassment, sleepless nights. For the honest middle class: zero mercy.
For crooks stealing hundreds of crores: clean chits and closed files. This isnโt governance. This isnโt justice. This is legalized looting of taxpayers to fund corruption and protect elites. And then they ask why people lose faith in the system.
The school entrusted a 25yo guy to take the minor girl back to her home, as she was sick.
On the way, he raped her.
Now, the kid is no more.
And, there's not a single proper coverage by the Indian media.
Another vishwaguru moment.
