@Yorkshire_Steve Steve, honest opinions if you're able to. 2 form pri with LA resource base, data with resource base included (don't sit any assessments) in all metrics GLD - Ks2 is broadly in line. Base removed all metrics significantly above but obviously IDSR doesn't show. Expected or Strong?
@llewelyn20 This thread has really helped me tonight as I'm sat waiting for my pizza hut to arrive after having a week of exactly this and we're in the window at the end of volunteer schools so thank you ๐
@elniedunne @mrprimary21 @NEUnion@NAHTnews@Headteacherchat https://t.co/VgZxNY3uzF
Annnd I thank you. People asking for help being mislead by biased "accountants" - no thank you.
@MrAllington@kennykoalabear I think as you've touched on in your post it's different for everyone. I'd also argue irrelevant of age what's important is pedagogy, research informed practice. I've seen several heads be stagnant to this. For context I am 29
@MrAllington@kennykoalabear Utter rubbish when people say this.
Age / experience does not necessarily = a good leader
This generalisation is short sighted imo ๐คท
@Headteacherchat I think you'd typically struggle against candidates who are either a) already heads and moving
b) acting heads with experience
c) Deputies with the NPQH qualification or have already started it.
So generally can't hurt to have it / do it
@TeachingChap@Headteacherchat@DeputyGrocott @DeputySchofield I feel some of these comments are really negative and fueled by personal resentment. It's about who's best on the day. If you're not the best take the feedback and move on don't try to shift blame like some of these comments.
As I come to the end of my first full term as Headteacher I've been reflecting on findings, positives, things I wasn't expecting etc.
- Understanding first rather than being understood. This set and continues to set me in good stead with all stakeholders.
