@lukedsimmons In most cases there is a tendency to think that if the worship didn’t somehow measure up or produced the right environment or make us feel good than yes, made be so. Worship isn’t about us although we are called to worship. It’s all about Him. If it isn’t then it is performance.
@DrCarolineLeaf Synchronicity is a marvelous thing! It’s becoming more aware of what wants to unfold. Jesus said that the Holy Spirit in our lives is to reveal to us things to come. (John 16:13 & more) The question then becomes are we consciously aware of what is taking place when it happens?
@markchironna I guess the greater question is why is that? Paul says that we are to walk in a manifestation of truth, commend ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. I suppose fear, shame, and protecting one’s reputation are at the top of the list of reasons why. Sad!
@markchironna Man!! … In need to catch my breath after that one. Thankfully, I’m still breathing. The stricter judgement is sobering. It requires submitting ourselves under the Mighty Hand of God. A posture of freedom and humility. Thank you for bringing what many of us are feeling right now.
@markchironna Brings new meaning taking the Lord’s Name in vain. Failing to see that the One of Whom the speak for made Himself of no reputation. His perspective was the Father is listening. All things lay open before Him. There is nothing hidden.
@markchironna These last few posted on Spiritual nonchalance has captured my attention. The question I’m asking is how does one find their way back from it?
@markchironna Thoughtful words indeed. At this stage of my journey, it appears that letting go of something requires a great deal of faith. The book that you recommended a while ago Transitions is helping. Necessary Endings by Dr. Henry Cloud is another great resource. I’m learning to let go.
@markchironna Often times we are guilty of not listening to understand we listen to respond. What I have noticed is the person talking can sense that almost immediately and it shuts down real communication. At that point reading body language matters. Notice the energy shift and walls go up.
@markchironna The way I heard this word explain to me was situational patients. The voluntary act of remaining in the situation when everyone else would depart. Jesus endured the cross Hebrews 12. James says let endurance have it perfect working. We win if we don’t quit.
@markchironna I learned from this word from Mark Geppert. I’m you will remember him. 😎 He taught us this Greek word was the ability to get along with people. Other words, people patience. We called it “macro thematic living.” This word has me help navigate many relationships round the would.
@markchironna This page at times has been life to me. I have said this often times that you (Dr. Mark) have helped to center my wife and I through some very dark moments starting in 2020. Bringing us back to the Creeds, and by helping us to walk more fully in biblical integrity. ❤️❤️❤️
@markchironna John’s gospel records that when this event occurred that they did not realize that this was a fulfillment of prophecy. (John 12:16 NLT) It was only after Jesus had entered into his glory that they remembered. How often do we miss what has been appointed for us is being fulfilled?
@markchironna As I read this I’m reminded of the words of Hagar in Genesis chapter 16 when the angel of the Lord finds her by a well. The Scripture says that she called the Lord by a different name. The God who sees. She then goes on to say: have I truly seen the one who sees me? May it be so!
@markchironna Another faithful reminder to measure oneself with against narrative in the current culture. Self deception is a slippery slope that never ends well. The mirror doesn’t lie. 😎
@DrJamesPayne Thank you Dr. James. I look forward to these wise words and Seedenomic principles. In fact, I keep a Seedenomics folder in Evernote for personal study future reference. Your seeds of sowing is producing a might harvest!
