National politics aside, we want our MP to actually do something for our town, here’s your chance to ask the candidates what they can offer! #GE2019#radcliffe#burysouth#radcliffefirst
I’m super excited to announce that @FirstRadcliffe are holding a Hustings for #GE2019 all questions will focus on Radcliffe. My thanks go to @StaplesJones for the artwork
Our party, members and councillors would like to thank all of those within council, Parliament and the various partners and agencies who helped to put in this successful bid and of course - well done to the people of Radcliffe for voting for change.

@greenyred1878@BuryCouncil Couldn’t agree more! Serious management change is needed, the department head has already left or been told to leave in the last few weeks but he seems to have been scapegoated for people above him... seems very odd. No one has been held responsible whatsoever.

@BuryLancs @RadcliffeEast We recognise more houses need to be built BUT we want brownfield developing first (council hasn’t touched brownfield since 2018 and yet looks set to build on green before brown 🤯) and we’re asking for a balanced approach, preferably under a local plan and not PfE.
Hearing some of the Labour Councillors speeches on Wednesday, it was unfortunately very evident that many did not actually understand what they were voting for. We’re very pleased that all RF, Con Councillors voted against this, including a Labour Radcliffe councillor.
@BuryLancs @RadcliffeEast Not being able to progress means children are limited in opportunities/careers & ultimately can expect a lower quality of life vs a child who lives in Ramsbottom - AND we’re now going to concrete over what little green areas we had left for those children to cherish.
@BuryLancs @RadcliffeEast Unfortunately Radcliffe West out of all wards in the Borough of Bury has the lowest GCSE attainment level - that means radcliffe children are not getting enough GCSE’s to go onto college and into further education. 😔 This is clearly linked to the lack of high school.
@BuryLancs @RadcliffeEast Are you saying in general Radcliffe is wealthier than Ramsbottom?! 😳🤯 Have you seen what’s been allowed to happen to our town compared to Ramsbottom? Have you seen the difference in houses? In opportunities for children? We don’t even have a high school!
@BuryLancs @RadcliffeEast Nope, not at all - we just want fairness. It’s not fair that Ramsbottom which has 81% Greenbelt left yet has very little new houses planned under PfE But Radcliffe which only has 46% Greenbelt left, yet has over half of the new houses proposed to be built there.
@ollie1692 Hi Ollie, Great to see your back - we love addressing our fans. Looks like it’s not going to well for Labour in Radcliffe. That’s what happens when you demolish half a towns infrastructure over the course of 40 years and continue to lie about regeneration at every election 😅
@BuryLancs @RadcliffeEast Explain how that’s fair? Just looks like Bury Council doesn’t want to cave in to the wealthy but is happy to do over those less fortunate. 👀
This Plan is clearly a Manchester orientated plan and offers no benefits to the people of Radcliffe or Bury - years of legal battles will now commence.
Only one Radcliffe councillor voted against, Cllr B Mortenson (Lab) who posted a statement Wednesday which was later deleted. We’re clearly very shocked and bemused at her support for a plan which will take away Radcliffe’s Greenbelt and produce unaffordable homes, for the many.
