A BAY OF BLOOD (1971) three years before that… PEEPING TOM (1960) eleven years before that…

No single film “invents” a subgenre - cinema evolves.

[The Flicktator @The_Flicktator]

Black Christmas (1974) invented the slasher four years before Halloween.

[Adrian Roe @Firstscreamto]

Now watching. 🦈

[Adrian Roe @Firstscreamto]

The climax of James Cameron's ALIENS (1986) remains one of the best third acts in cinematic history.

It's that simple.

[Adrian Roe @Firstscreamto]

CRYSTAL LAKE reminded me how effective the "sack head" Jason was.

I sometimes wish the movies had spent more time with this look.

[Adrian Roe @Firstscreamto]

@DrOggenstaten I didn’t even know they did horror stuff. I think it might just be through the Halloween season.

[Adrian Roe @Firstscreamto]

I think I might need this.

[Adrian Roe @Firstscreamto]

@BastardHans Takes up most of the evening but it’s always worth it.

[Adrian Roe @Firstscreamto]

The 2 hours 34 minutes version.

Always.

[Adrian Roe @Firstscreamto]

@trevoreo I’ve not seen those BTS shots before! Awesome.

[trevoreo @trevoreo]

‘What are you afraid of? It’s only rock & roll…’

Happy 40th Anniversary to Charles Martin Smith’s Trick or Treat! 🎃

[Adrian Roe @Firstscreamto]

@johnnyblackout Great cast, beautifully shot, some incredible action sequences, and a killer alien design! Yeah, this piece of ‘90s sci-fi horror is first rate. Shame it didn’t build the legacy it deserved.

[Adrian Roe @Firstscreamto]

Any SPECIES fans out there?

[Adrian Roe @Firstscreamto]

@FreddyInSpace HALLOWEEN III being the linchpin of the entire universe is genius 🤯

[Adrian Roe @Firstscreamto]

[SAG-AFTRA @sagaftra]

We celebrate the life and career of then-SAG Awards nominated actor Tom Skerritt. He may be best remembered for his roles 'Picket Fences,' 'MASH', 'Alien', 'Top Gun' and more. Our condolences to his wife, children and friends. #SagAftraMember since 1962 https://t.co/RHCkt8HC6b

@indifferentnick Me too. Surprised how much, to be honest.

[Adrian Roe @Firstscreamto]

Watched the first episode of CRYSTAL LAKE today and found it absolutely fascinating. Surprised how much I enjoyed it and can’t wait to watch the rest.

[Adrian Roe @Firstscreamto]

@markhagelauer I’d have to agree!

[Adrian Roe @Firstscreamto]

Just finished the 5th and I'm still enjoying the hell out of CRYSTAL LAKE.

It could be nostalgia, or the simple fact that we haven't visited this much-loved universe for so long, but I'm fascinated by all the twists and reveals.

Oh, Linda Cardellini is AMAZING! 🖤

New profile picture in honour of Tom Skerritt. 🫡

[Adrian Roe @Firstscreamto]

@vampirebuff I love the film, and interviewed Victor Miller once, so have a huge affection for the original lore. I'm finding the expansion and backstory fascinating! Linda really is perfect for the role.

[Adrian Roe @Firstscreamto]

Very sad to hear that Tom Skerritt has died. Tom was one of the first people I interviewed for THE FINAL SCREAM way back in 2017.

I remember being impressed with both his honesty and candour. Incredible actor, and an incredible human being.

RIP, Tom. Thanks for everything.
