Today from 3:30-5:30 in the Education Addition 202 is the "Know your Rights" Workshop. Kathryn Railsback, director of the University of Idaho Immigration Law Clinic, will provide an overview of rights surrounding immigration, and proactive measures to protect your rights!

Tomorrow, #WSUCommonReading is showing the 2017 documentary The Staging Post, which follows the stories of Muzafar and Khadim, two Afghan Hazara refugees stuck in Indonesia who develop a refugee education program. Join us in Heald G3 from 4:30-5:30 to learn their inspiring story!

(2/3) So far this semester, FYF faculty have offered over 90 opportunities for beyond-the-class contact, including residence hall events, workshops, office hours held in dorms, and meals with students in the dining centers. This resulted in over 800 student contacts!

Today from 3:10-4pm in Kimbrough 101, Drew Matott's "The Peace Paper Project" will be live-streamed from @WSUTriCities. This unique talk will focus on how the art of papermaking can be used as a method of dealing with trauma and loss. #WSUCommonReading

This Thursday, October 3rd, from 6-8pm in the SPARK Atrium is the Adobe Creative Jam Final Competition, where the 12 finalist teams from our University 104 classes will present the apps they designed and compete for the top spots! Come be a part of the competition's excitement!

We had an amazing turnout for @bsirom’s talk about the Rohingya refugee crisis last night. More than 80 students learned about the way the media represents humanitarian issues, and specifically, about how it relies on Westernized iconography in communicating refugee crises.
