In line with H.E @KagutaMuseveni , @MbararaUST through @FIS_MUST offers a political economy service course to all first and second year undergraduate students promoting an interdisciplinary understanding of how ideology and economic structures shape national progress.

Despite the challenges we face, including corruption and wealth distribution issues, Uganda is progressing. Our nation thrives on the ideology of the NRM, which promotes patriotism over tribal and religious identities.

If the youth of Uganda wish to make a real difference, I encourage them to study ideology and political economy. It is good that the youth leaders want to go to Kyankwanzi because it's in Kyankwanzi where they take them through the course on Political Economy.

Prof. Pauline Byakika-Kibwika, Vice Chancellor @MbararaUST, noted that FAEVS will boost agricultural productivity, research, skilling & innovation in line with NDP IV & SDGs.

“Over the last 36 years, MUST has achieved remarkable growth. What we present today is not cast in stone; it’s a proposal. We need your ideas. We must learn from what has worked, what hasn’t, and what Uganda truly needs.”

In her welcoming remarks, Dr. Wendo Mlahagwa, Dean @FIS_MUST, announced plans to establish the Faculty of Agriculture, Environment & Veterinary Sciences (FAEVS) to address local, regional & global sustainability challenges.

''Today’s meeting is intended to inform, consult, and co-create. We are here to listen, share, and receive insights from you our key stakeholders to ensure that the new Faculty is relevant, responsive, and sustainable.
Specifically, this engagement aims to:
Identify existing gaps and additional training needs in agricultural, environmental, and veterinary sciences in Uganda;
Build stakeholder consensus and support for the establishment of the new Faculty of Agriculture, Environment, and Veterinary Sciences (FAEVS) at MUST; and
Gather feedback on the proposed academic programs and structure of the new Faculty.'' Dr. Wendo Mlahagwa.
