Working on a project and I’d love to connect if you have some time to spare! 🤠🎣
As someone who actively creates content on social media, I will say this:
I don’t think we use it in a healthy manner, and I 100% believe that it has a direct correlation with many of society’s problems.
Prioritize your in-person social life.
The risk of early death from social disconnection is equivalent to smoking 15 cigarettes a day, per @Surgeon_General.
He warned that being persistently alone is a "profound" threat to Americans' health: Time with friends fell 20 hrs/month from 2003–2020.
But I know it’s wishful thinking that we would ever stop making technological advancements so what I will say is this… Don’t blindly believe content that supports your existing perspectives. Also, we should all turn our phones off more often.
All this AI stuff needs to stop.
Clearly society already has a trust issue with politicians, media, and just about everyone else. Pair that with the immense confirmation bias shown daily on social media and what is yet to come from AI is not going to be a positive.
It was within reach but getting out-rebounded finally caught up to us. No matter what, @CoachJTang is the best coach for K-State and I am so proud of this team. 💜
No matter what happens from here on out, I can’t express in words just how much I love @CoachJTang and how he represents my alma mater. Heck of a coach, but an even better person.
