@KrisKenn96 Kya's the goddess of the stars. She was killed by Ozai, and ended up turning into the starry sky. Hakoda's the god of sailing and navigation, and it's said that he learned to navigate by looking up at his wife at night while he sailed across the sea.

@EryokuM The spirits still exist in this AU, so Tui is still the moon spirit, and Yue is the goddess of the night and the moon's phases-- the distinction is necessary but in the end you're still right they do get to see each other on new moons (and eclipses) :)
