Route 9 closed in both directions at the intersection with South Terrace, just north of Route 52. Central Hudson on scene clearing downed pole and wires.

Red Schoolhouse Rd is closed due to a motor vehicle accident, accident investigation is underway. Road closure will be for an extended period of time, please avoid the area. We will advise when the road has been opened.

TRAFFIC UPDATE

Heavy congestion due to road construction has cleared, traffic patterns have returned to normal congestion.

Construction on I84 is causing heavy traffic on Rt 52 w/b from Ocean State Job Lot to I84. Delays are also experienced on I84 and Rt 9 in the area of the Village of Fishkill.

Construction on the Washington Ave Bridge reducing traffic to a single kane begins July 19 and will remain in place for approximately 5 weeks. Petticoat Lane will be closed during this time at the intersection with Maple St. Expect delays when travelling.

Spring is in the air, and we would like to take a moment to advise motorists that our Community Policing and Patrol Units will be out monitoring school bus routes. The purpose of this is to ensure that drivers are complying with flashing red lights.
