After a lovely holiday it's time to get back to work. Great day to do at sea boardings in the Falkland Islands from FPV Lilibet.

It's a cracking Sunday afternoon, at the start of another patrol for FPV Lilibet.

It's amazing what you can see on patrol. Today we had a pod of about 10 Orca following us and playing alongside us for about 20 minutes.

@gav424 Highest we saw on Lilibet was 101.7 knots which was just before 2300hrs 😀

Today we have some lovely South Atlantic weather heading in, currently all our fishing vessels are moving to take cover just north of the Islands and in to the Falkland Sound. Wind speeds so far in excess of 80 knots and the worst is still to come.

Monitoring Ship to Ship refueling is an important task for us to ensure the ongoing survival or our most precious assets, our wildlife.

Another day boarding fishing vessels. Each time we leave and come back onboard we disinfect ourselves to reduce the chance of us transmitting Avian Flu. Biosecurity is an important every day task.
