Imagine a country where the government of the past 10 years made the country worse by every metric imaginable.

-When facing defeat a lot of members of said government say they're resigning to "spend time with family" & for other reasons.

-The Party replaces the leader with a globalist banker, known for being an ideolog & ruining the British economy.

-The Party uses its bought & paid for media allies to spread fear about a foreign president.

-Suddenly the polls start to improve as the media & the government use fear of a foreign president to change public opinion.

-The rats who jumped ship previously start to shamelessly return to the party they had just resigned from a couple of months back. I guess that's all the "family time" they needed.

-The opposition Party falls in the trap of blaming a foreign president for national issues. Fails to differentiate themselves from the government. Panics in the realization that their lead in the polls has disappeared, & decides to pander to the left which later proved pointless.

-The Governing Party wins an election against all odds by using fear of a foreign government to induce amnesia on a population who happily forgot the last 10 years of decay & deeply worsening conditions.

-Over 80% of the individuals in government are the exact same people who've been in power for the past 10 years & have contributed to the decay of the country. They all realize they got away with everything, that it didn't matter how badly they messed up, because if you control the narrative, you control the outcome.

This is who's governing Canada today, a group of necessarily cynical & demostrably corrupt individuals who've just realized they got away with something they should've never gotten away with.

Do you realize what that does to a human being?

The way they see it, they can do whatever they want. There will be more like Matt Jenereaux. Floor crossings & backroom deals are just par for the course.
