Thank you for all of your support.
I’ve spent my life around British craftsmanship… and few names carry the weight, history and quiet pride of Denby
For over 200 years, Denby has been part of our homes… our kitchens… our everyday moments. The mug you reach for in the morning, the plate at family gatherings, the pieces that quietly become part of your story.
To hear that this great Derbyshire institution is now under real threat… is deeply saddening.
But the story isn’t over yet.
If you feel, as I do, that Denby is worth saving …there are simple but meaningful ways you can help:
• Visit their website and learn more about what’s happening
• Share their campaign far and wide … awareness truly matters
• Support by purchasing Denby pieces, if you’re able
• Visit the Pottery Village here in Derbyshire and show your support in person
• Keep an eye out for their petition and lend your voice
This is about more than pottery… it’s about protecting British skill, heritage, and the livelihoods of hundreds of people.
Let’s not lose something so special without a fight.

Sometimes the commentary is better than the goal itself, that was usually the case with the great Barry Davies.
Brilliant commentary for Charle George’s goal for Derby County against Real Madrid in the European Cup in October 1975.
