Husband & wife each make ₹30L
Total income: ₹60L
Total tax: ₹12.15L
Net income: ₹47.5L
Rent; ₹6L/year
School fees: ₹4L/year for two kids.
Medical insurance: ₹1L/year
Frugal living expense for a family of 6: ₹1.5L/month; total ₹18L/year.

One is finally left with ₹18L/year. The couple become extremely rich, if they choose to not buy real estate, else if they take up on EMIs, they’ll see 50% loss on this.

India doesn’t have a taxation problem, it has a priority problem.
