While bank M&A may be challenging in the current environment, many believe that ample strategic opportunities will ultimately arise. https://t.co/5QV7iVPubu #mergers#acquisitions
Our partner Jonathan Hightower (@hightowerbanks) was a guest on the @mobankers podcast Our Two Cents discussing community banking amid the changing landscape created by COVID-19.

We distributed a report to our @FKHPartners clients regarding the corporate/regulatory considerations for community banks amid COVID-19 concerns. We've now decided to post/share more broadly in case it's helpful to others. See link below.

ICYMI: We were honored to receive the Five*Star Award from @myibat as voted on by the community bankers in the State of Texas. We're thankful for the opportunity to serve community banks.

Our Jonathan Hightower (@hightowerbanks) and Crystal Huffman (@CrystalHuffFKH) wrote about a recent decision in Georgia with interesting implications for bank directors. See their note here.

Meet Atlanta partner Kevin Strachan. Kevin is a serious and pragmatic guy about most things; however, he really gets revved up about landscaping. We think Kevin's a unique guy in that he gets equally excited about college football, his yard, and securities law. #FKHFGA
Meet Managing Partner Chet Fenimore. Hailing from Mustang, Oklahoma, Chet was a bank examiner for the OCC and the Oklahoma Banking Dept before going to law school. We're pretty happy he gave up bank examiner life to be a lawyer, though we notice he still enjoys his review work.
Meet Austin partner Derek McGee. Derek was born to be in banking. His first job was rolling coins for his local bank. Also, like many good bankers, Derek became quite the golfer - if you're in a scramble, you'll probably want to see if you can partner up with Derek. #FKHFATX
It was fun having our #FKHF gear all over Banff during the #GBA2019AnnualMeeting. Thanks to Kathy Friestad and the rest of the @gabankers team for the great job on the backpacks!
We're loving our debut as Summit Sponsors of the @GABankers Annual Meeting. Thanks to the GBA for including @hightowerbanks as a moderator of the CEO Panel, and we look forward to sponsoring many more! #GBA2019AnnualMeeting#FKHFGA
Meet Austin partner Geoffrey Kay. GK's second love (behind wife and twins) is LSU football. Or LSU baseball. Maybe LSU basketball. GK would give you the shirt off of his back and can make a fantastic meal, but since co-founding the firm, we've never heard him yell "Tigah Bait!"
Meet #FKHFGA attorney Crystal Huffman. While not busy with her legal work or out for a run, you can usually find Crystal working with her quarter horses (Primo and Brady) for a show. Fun fact: Primo was originally named Olaf, but Crystal is apparently not into Disney movies.
Meet Austin partner Brent Standefer. Brent is a second generation alumnus of the Texas Silver Spurs, meaning he was a caretaker for @TexasMascot Bevo in college. Given that experience, Brent does not find his legal work terribly intimidating.
Meet our Kansas City partner Stephanie Kalahurka. In addition to being a mother of two, Steph plays four musical instruments and has completed a 100k race. Steph also took up karate on a whim and won her first and only tournament. We're not making this up. Steph's our hero.
Hello new followers! To welcome you, we'll introduce you to our attorneys over the next few weeks. We won't bore you with what they do (we're all bank corporate and regulatory lawyers) but tell you a little about who they are. Also, Harrison Ford does not work here.
