We definitely could, and people have. But the government finds a way to shut it down because they get no cut from taxes. Same reason sex work is illegal, too difficult to tax.

Maybe because those more in touch with their spirituality know not to trust things as they may seem. The popularization of the most outlandish conspiracy theories possible has also stigmatized any theory that those in power wouldn’t want you to know about or believe.
