Volume Twelve, the final of this eight-year era, and our most voluminous by far, features a poem for every week of the year, spread across 13 fantastic poets.

While this is an end of an era, we’re so proud of Flag + Void and the beauty we’ve hosted over the years. Thank you for being a part of it. See you in the archives—
As you may recall, the platform we’ve used to host Flag + Void over the past eight years shut down in June. We’ve rebuilt the archive, v1 thru v11, and tomorrow we'll release Volume Twelve, featuring 13 poets.
Our hope is that, down the line, we'll be able to resume publishing. But unless and until that comes to pass, we’re considering the new site a permanent archive for the poems you’ve shared w/ us to share w/ you. https://t.co/I9jIztaCc8

I want poetry to disassemble the ordered, the create disorder and mayhem so as to release the story that cannot be told, but which, through not-telling, will tell itself. The story that cannot be told must not-tell itself in a language already contaminated.

rub a tomato plant’s leaves between your fingers—
smell your fingers—
what lingers is an aroma
of something
shadowy yet more pronounced
than a mere tomato
Dear contributors, readers, comrades: the web host that F + V has used for the past 8 years has closed suddenly and permanently without warning. We will make Flag + Void again and rebuild our tender archive that features over 60 stellar poets and poems. More very soon, xo
