@SaffronOlive Is this once per turn or in general? At least as of Saturday, Shadrix Silverquill only lets you choose each combination of modes once.
I assume this is a problem with all permanents that allow you to choose modes multiple times.
@DrunkenElder@BudgetCommander Sadly, that should not work.
The Ramirez and Mask trigger at the same time (on dmg to player). In order to be put on the stack, Ramirez's trigger needs a valid target, but since the Mask trigger has not yet resolved, there is no discarded card (from the mask) to target.
@SaffronOlive If you're interested, here's the updated Bell Borca flicker deck you played on the Commander Clash Live where you quickly died to Richard's birds: https://t.co/waixKP4NLH
Or you could play this Mono Red Kiki Jiki variation, which may be even more fun:

@Sabrina_Lopez_@BudgetCommander Uh, this is embarrassing ๐ณ He asked for squirrel puns. SQUIRREL PUNS. I can't resist that kind of summons. Is this revenge for testing them on you?
@BudgetCommander (Hard Mode) Try to ignore the "obvious" build of a commander. This is subjective, and difficult to tell what's obvious or not when you come up with an idea, but I always find these builds the most rewarding, both for pulling it off and for other players' reactions to your idea.
@SaffronOlive Fully agree with this, which is why I pose this idea to most people I play with. I sometimes enjoy the very restrictive or build-around ones, e.g. Thalia's Lancers, but in general these are the first cards I cut or suggest as cuts in other people's decks.
@BudgetCommander I wouldnโt sink that low / I donโt sink thatโs a good idea
A-parrot-ly (instead of apparently)
Davey Jonesโ blocker
Are you shore about that? / That attack is leaving me a little shore
@BudgetCommander Eye patch that up (hard to use organically, but itโs groan worthy)
That sailed over your heads (if someone doesnโt get a pun, hit them with another)
That makes me a little pi-rate (instead of irate)
Ship the turn (ship can be used so much in a game of magic)
Youโre off the hook
@SaffronOlive I've found that placing an 800 count card box vertically on either side of a playmat and playing a long block of wood (or other long, flat object) works really well.
@BudgetCommander And thanks for the suggested adds and cuts. I somehow forgot Sai was a card and leaning more into artifacts seems strong.
Btw, you played the deck really well for not having built it. You made nearly identical decisions to what I would have. Glad pulled off that end board state.
@BudgetCommander Thanks Tomer, it does! I've always been hesitant of the o-stone effects because this deck ends up having a lot tokens "saved" as treasure or clues or some mana rock and I don't want to lose them, but I can try to mitigate that damage, and accept that it's necessary.
@BudgetCommander Hey that's my Brudiclad! Thanks for picking it and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Sorry for the lack of enchantment interaction, I mostly rely on the Ugin and few counterspells for that, or hope that someone is playing green ๐
