Yeah, transformational news for $SIVE:
$GFS add Sivers' InP lasers to menu of qualified light sources in its SiPh reference designs, incl. their new CPO platform.
Mapping to $GFS value chain like:
$AVGO, $MRVL, $NVDA.
Which widens out $SIVE's funnel massively & gives them a really credible logo qualifying their tech for CPO.
Important to note:
No news r.e. Design wins/orders yet, just optionality for $GFS to use $SIVE alongside other partners like $MTSI.
So: Design win -> revenue lag will be long.
Especially with CPO ramp starting 2027+ w/ TAM expansion to upper end of >$90B in the years following (GS).
At this point, I'm not sure why a $MRVL doesn't just acquire Sivers + vertically integrate? Or even $COHR / $LITE to consolidate the laser layer?
This is the biggest TAM expansion + revenue driver with $SIVE, markets haven’t noticed.
Sivers is actively working with new pluggable optical transceiver companies.
After Jabil 1.6T LRO used Sivers lasers to achieve a “relatively dramatic moat”.
“Actively working”, so co-development / qualification stage.
My guess is we’ll likely see optical transceiver companies (eg. Innolight), announce they’re using $SIVE lasers soon.
Holy crap, this is the most bullish thing I’ve heard from $SIVE so far.
From earnings transcripts:
“We do not look at competitors when demand far outstrips supply” (literally anything they make gets bought)
Along with: “We see 60% gross margins in the future” (incredibly high)
“We have two technologies that can feed into these three supercycles that are currently going on.” (Holy revenue opportunities)
My high conviction CPO/photonics long is $SIVE for a reason.
