I'm proud to announce that @jadechamberost has officially launched after a year of planning and building the foundation with our new team.
First press release in an official capacity, but we're excited to introduce ourselves as a new player in the #gameaudio industry!

Very excited to hold this event after many months of hard work. It's been a challenge no doubt, but I think this will be a great platform and event moving forward.

A corridor leading to the sky has revealed itself...
#GenshinLunaVI#GenshinImpact
Version "Luna VI" is now live โ what will the Traveler find at the end of the corridor to the sky?
welcome to what intermediates and juniors have already been struggling with for years... ๐
it's a big reason why I opted to start my own game sound company last year.
If you want a glimpse into how dire the video game industry is, look no further than Rob Carr, who was an Audio Designer on L.A. Noire, GTA 5 and RDR2.
He has been unemployed for over a year now and despite working on some of the most prestigious titles ever, can't find work simply because he is competing against 35 other people in his field with the same skillset.
We are living through an extinction level event in the video game industry.

Connect with developers, publishers, and partners at Koreaโs first global B2B game conference.
Across Asia, we are separated by language, distance, and borders.
Developers, publishers, and all the partners who help bring games to players rarely have the chance to truly meet and collaborate.
If we want to build our own ecosystem in Asia, we need to create it together.
And to do that, connection must come first.
Before reaching players, we need to meet each other.
Letโs connect, collaborate, and build a stronger future together.
At Asian Game Audio Network, we host mentorship programmes to support and uplift the next generation of audio creatives.
We would like to introduce one of our awesome mentors that has been a part of last year's session, Margaret Lu.

It was such a pleasure to meet everyone! I'm amazed with how it went and surprised with the huge turnout.
Excited to keep building the community at the Asian Game Audio Network!
At #GDC we hosted an Asian Game Audio Network meetup in San Francisco and it was amazing to connect with everyone from around the world.
We had around 80-90 people attend at its peak. Thank you so much for coming!

It happens every year, but I never get tired of hanging out in Genshin during the Lantern Rite season.
The Zibai quest was really done well, and really brought me back to the old Liyue.
The music is always done so well, I'm always so inspired after.

Her little paws will take you across many different landscapes, from dense jungles, windy mountaintops, to eerie ocean depths, and soulless factories. ๐บ๏ธ

Thousands of gaming-related job openings right now in China ready to be filled up after the Chinese New Year.
โผ๏ธAnd before people list the usual (dated/ignorant) cons about working in China:
- Wages in some major gaming hubs in China are on average higher than in several so called "Western markets";
-Yes, generally people don't get California/US level of pay in China, but also, the cost of living is much more affordable here, and quality of life is arguably much higher (yes!);
-In gaming hubs like Shenzhen, Chengdu, Guangzhou...even Shanghai and Beijing, housing with excellent conditions can cost you anywhere between US$300~$1000/month, without roommates!
-No, you likely/generally won't find a job in gaming in China if you're not Chinese (or an industry veteran applying to particular major senior positions), but that's not an "industry problem".
Geo-centric views often lead us to make general assumptions about the whole industry, when issues and crises are more often than not localized. IMO
*Don't @ me to argue with specific fringe cases that are inconsequential in the context of a workforce of hundreds of thousands of people (or millions), or to tell me you can't get a good apartment for under $1000 in a city like Shenzhen. If you can't, that's a YOU problem.*
(I've been continuously working and living in China for almost 15 years)
