I was laid off today. I spent the last 2 years as the only UI Engineer on Festival, implementing new features like Local Multi-player, Festival Menu, Calibration, and new game modes. I dove into focus and input issues, often helping other teams with their issues as well.

The Lead Writer of Epic Games, Nik Blahunka, who worked at Epic Games for over 10 YEARS, contributing to both BR & STW's storylines was laid off today.

I feel terrible for him, so many talented people were laid off today.

This is all so infuriating. Shame on Sweeney.

so many weekends
so many live events, and competitive events, and new features, and new seasons

solid performance reviews every time
with multiple people mentioning how critical i am and what an impact i make across multiple teams
