KNC Dao can mint more KNC if the vote comes through. That vote is predefined, and Kyber team doesnt have enough KNC to pass it on their own so its been years without any minting. Currently KNC holders can stake KNC to the dao and get rewarded by voting. However the DAO is not collecting any revenue since 2024 because its biggest protocol Elastic got hacked in late 2023 and its second big protocol FairFlow just launched in second half 2025 is not making enough revenue. FairFlow is the top 1 uniswap v4 hook btw. KyberSwap aggregator is not part of the DAO and it is currently making revenue for Kyber team to sustain. We discussed among the team to share part of this revenue to the DAO, however we are still not strong enough to do so because the team used its all treasury to help users during 2023 hack and havent recovered anything from it yet (48M). Would KNC holders get benefit from KyberSwap success in the future? Definitely Yes. Long tweet, but i hope this gives the transparency for your question.
