The public does not seem to be buying this OVERWHELMING!™ evidence of which you speak.

This evidence includes:

- Blurry, faceless photos and video, including one of a tiny blob on the Losee Center rooftop.
- Stilted text messages, complete with convenient expository dialogue. ("Remember how I was engraving bullets?")
- Pictures of said text messages on Lance Twiggs's cellphone with convenient damage on the upper-left-hand corner, obscuring the timestamps. (We'll just have to take Agent Brian Davis's word for it that what the public has seen matches the Cellebrite forensic extraction.)
- Dubious social media posts with awkward phrasings overly convenient to the prosecution.
- Confessions made in the texts, the social media posts, and (according to Twiggs's video-recorded testimony) to Twiggs. (But there is no formal signed confession. And Robinson is, despite these confessions, defending himself in court.)
- Inferences in the charging documents and corporate press reports (plus the word of Spencer Cox and other state agents) that the parents recognized Robinson from the blurry photos, that they turned him in and that they believe him guilty. (Reports from the independents say the parents advised their son to turn himself in so that he wouldn't be hunted down and killed. These reports also say they believe him to be innocent.)
- DNA evidence proving that Robinson touched his own rifle. (He is one of three to five contributors—and his was the most degraded.)
- Proof that Tyler Robinson, at some point, touched either the trigger, the trigger guard, or both. (The laboratory cannot say definitively whether he touched the trigger at all because the trigger and the trigger guard were tested as a single sample.)
- A picture of a Dodge Challenger that looks like Robinson's car at Utah Valley University on September 10, 2025 (but no readable license plate).

What the state does not have is:

- Proof that the bullet matches the gun
- Proof the rifle had been fired shortly before its retrieval
- Proof that Robinson had fired a gun shortly before he appeared at the police station. (No gunshot residue test was performed on him.)
- Video proof that the screwdriver was found on the rooftop. (Officer Chris Bagley's bodycam mysteriously died just before he found it.)
