California Democrats Will Have To Campaign On Their Record This Fall
The June election is over (but for a lot of counting that won’t change some key outcomes) — and it just made November a lot more interesting for the people who’ve been running CA into the ground…

This is a reminder that the federal healthcare subsidy “cuts” that took place last year were as a result an expiring temporary boost during the COVID epidemic. They were extended once, but never were they permanent or intended to be forever. The “entitlement culture” is amazing, folks. We have a nearly $40 trillion national debt. Real spending cuts do need to happen, and get ready for more whining.
Lowest ERA in first 10 starts of season, since ER official (1913) excl openers:
2021 Jacob deGrom: 0.56
1966 Juan Marichal: 0.59
2026 Shohei Ohtani: 0.74
!!!
Also has been on base 4 times tonight
California voters in ALL major cities are rejecting new taxes, at least in early primary results.
- SF's "overpaid CEO tax" is losing 45%-55%
- LA County's 0.5% sales tax hike is losing 47%-53%
- SD's second-home tax is losing 42%-58%
November's "billionaire tax" is in trouble.
I wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU to each of you who voted, donated and endorsed my campaign for Insurance Commissioner. The votes are still coming in and this race is not over. Look out for an update on Friday.
What I do know today… I traveled the state and met with so many of you who are affected by the dysfunction in our insurance market. This campaign earned the support of hundreds of thousands of Republicans, Democrats and Independent voters across California who know we need real solutions to the insurance crisis, not politics as usual.
You know I’m not a politician. But I have nearly 40 years of experience in the insurance navigating the insurance marketplace, and I know exactly what to do to restore balance in a way that will attract new insurers so they have to compete for your business and reduce the insurable risk in CA.
The coalition we have built is still growing. And I invite you to join Team Stacy until the race is called.

Analysis: Early Returns Point To Becerra Vs. Hilton And Bass Vs. Pratt
California’s first returns show major races taking shape, but millions of ballots remain to be counted.

Our incumbent Republican Orange County Clerk-Recorder, High Nguyen, was overwhelmingly re-elected tonight by Orange County voters. He has earned every vote and tonight was an exclamation mark on a job well-served!
