Anybody ever wonder why airline flights aren’t higher than the altitude you can purportedly see the curvature of the earth?
Must be because a pair of $40mil engines capable of generating 81,000lbs of thrust each caaaan’t quite make it high enough. 🙄
I’m going give someone random who retweets this tweet $10,000 because it’s my birthday and I feel like being nice ☺️ (you have to be following me so I can dm you the code if you win)
@Mctoon27 @AllGasNoCraic @maxsec I can’t remember exactly what the literature says for initial referencing time, but I’d say it usually takes about 10 minutes.
@maxsec @AllGasNoCraic @Mctoon27 Yes, because it took me more than a day to find a Wikipedia article. I did answer the flight computer question in one of my other tweets. It’s been fun but this convo has become tedious. May your skies be clear ahead!
@maxsec @AllGasNoCraic @Mctoon27 I’m not answering your question because it’s a waste of time. Ask me something only a 737 pilot is likely to know.
If simply want a basic education in lift I’ll direct you to Wikipedia. https://t.co/OuZYDg1s08
Ask some interesting questions or I’m moving on.
@maxsec @AllGasNoCraic @Mctoon27 They show globes because that is the model that has been taught. Paper charts only show a 2d image but that’s neither useful for proving or disproving flat earth theory because it’s simply a representation.
@AllGasNoCraic @maxsec@Mctoon27 ... isn’t going to be made public by the government anytime soon. “Satellites” behave a manner so close to how we’ve been told satellites do that it is impossible to debunk as a civilian.
@AllGasNoCraic @maxsec@Mctoon27 When we’re in the jet we use WAAS when available. WAAS is a compliment to the GPS system and uses ground stations to provide further accuracy. The satellites, I believe are something like solar powered baloons though their exact design...
@AllGasNoCraic @maxsec@Mctoon27 This is really just conjecture though, as the actual technology behind “satellites” of course is not going to be made public knowledge any time soon.
