In '22 I wrote 150 articles about movies, TV, games, comics, Judaism, love, sports, queerness, the environment, food, interviewed amazing directors, and poured out my soul about deeply personal and purely fun topics. And I'm ready to do it again and more in '23!

They're doing it because all the influencers and freelancers these days with 7 minutes of job experience and zero scruples about getting ahead in the gig/AI economy are dumb enough to send them, and eventually they'll gatekeep access if we don't do what the dumbasses are doing
lots of corporate press / comms people asking me to share drafts of stories before publication (??) these days. baby that is not how it has ever worked
@AndrewZwicker But why do we need them at all? We should be regulating them out of existence, not regulating them into mediocrity. Protect people and jobs, not billionaires and their tech fads
@GMJohnsonNJ Better idea. Ban it now before it's too late and companies immediately start circumventing whatever paltry safeguards the government tries to put in place. People need jobs and living wages, not self-driving cars that price gouge and then run us over
@John_Norman76@USDA You already have to reapply for SNAP every 6-12 months and 50-75% of recipients work (many more physically cannot). Unfotunatley too many jobs pay terribly and food costs too much, thanks to your pedophile president. Shut up about things you don't know anything about
will never understand why studios won't screen some movies to critics until 7:30pm the night before a 9am review embargo, even when influencers can see them weeks in advance. if the film is that fucking bad, just delay the embargo a few days! better yet, don't make it at all!
@91Butch Love ya, but if you're gonna call it mens, you've gotta call it womens, not girls. Makes it sound like you're calling the women children otherwise
@NYMag Horrendous journalism. Rightwingers say insane things and make mistakes on talking points every hour of the day, don't boil her down to the one question she wasn't prepared to answer. That's not journalism, that's elitism
This is the result of well-meaning liberals canceling their performances and tickets as an empty symbolic protest only to result in people losing their jobs and now an excuse to destroy the institution, just to piss of DC residents, because they're mostly well-meaning liberals
Breaking News: President Trump said the Kennedy Center will close for two years this summer for reconstruction, following a wave of cancellations and boycotts. https://t.co/3u46s24pub
I'm sorry, you're getting in a tizzy over .8% of retailers committing what I'm more than confident were more clerical errors than crimes? Spend my taxes on the IRS auditing millionaires and make a graphic about the fraud you find there instead of scaring poor people into starving
Bad journalism shouldn't be rewarded with great responses, but also I think about the dating app influencers I saw this movie with at least 3 times a week and wonder if any single one of them understood that the movie was about them and their vapid, meager understandings of love
It is widely known that the majority of SNAP "fraud" is from overly complicated forms, people misunderstanding the rules, or state error. People aren't going around just stealing money from the government. People are poor and need to eat. Make it easier not harder, you assholes
USDA is focused on preventing SNAP fraud and the Trump Administration WILL root out any crooks looking to pad their pockets at taxpayers’ expense. #FraudWasteAndAbuse
