I do think management games are an interesting edge case to this. The conflicts there are *very* abstract yet they have been ever present in gaming landscape.

@RyanThinker There definitely seems to be a strong policy shift to in-person teaching. I would hope it would be done responsibly.

I demanded remote as a contractual requirement and it's clearly not desired at a institutional level. Can feel a lot of passive systemic resistance against it.

@Anodesu So if you spin a tale of boards being the one true art that the worthless computer monkeys imitate, well, that just sets the stage to undervalue them, doesn't it?

And there are a LOT more cg artists to undervalue than board artists, 2d, stop motion, physical effects, etc.

@Anodesu I'd hazard there's a bit of an underbelly to that if you wanted to draw unflattering conclusions.

In 2d boards carry waaaay more weight than 3d. There is also a very strong societal bias against 3d, viewing cg as a tawdry, lesser form of art, put up with out of necessity.

@Anodesu The shot had characters feet visible but also *couldn't* be planted for technical reasons. Characters arrayed like on bleachers. Impossible layout requirements.

Had to hack the crowd tool, manually key Time node, animate disruptive camouflage to hide floating etc. Sheer madness.

@RyanThinker Sorry. I... Basically did that some years ago to pick up a second animation diploma, and was told by academic advisor there was an emergency council-in-session at Queen's Park to change some laws and close the loophole that allowed me to do it.

So probably not?

@JosephJBroni @ExtraLife4Kids Youve probably heard of Atom Zombie Smasher but that's a good pick. Legions of Ashworld is pretty obscure, a strategy game that has a distinctly Arabian flair and is fully 1st person. Not sure if it'll play well for a streaming audience though...

All I know about Mulan is it's about ethnically Mongol Chinese citizen fighting for freedom whats been remade pandering to a regime cracking down on ethnically Mongol Chinese citizens.

@Anodesu Yeah I think I have, like, 2 credits. Maybe 3 I haven't checked. Out of... 4 (or 5 depending how you count) tv shows, some game and game adjacent projects, countless movies, and lettering a comic.
