She did say that the people of Greenland would be rich “if they sell [resources] to us and our allies.” I think that manipulators in the world have people terrified and fixated on a scenario that doesn’t exist. Just as Venezuela is FINALLY benefitting from their resources for the first time in decades, so too might other people with national resources. She quite obviously did NOT say that “Greenland’s natural resources belong to U.S.” or that that the agreement is about handing over Greenland or its resources. Criticism is great..but you must listen with clean ears, not through the filter of Americaphobes. Might there be other people saying stupid inaccurate things about the agreement? Of course. But she didn’t.

Just start with your first supposition: do you have any idea how many died in the battle of Iwo Jima, and as the US got closer to Japan, the honorable, fierce, and proud Japanese fought more and more suicidally. Conservative estimates of Japanese casualties for a land war would easily be in the millions. The effect of the two atomic bombs had to demonstrate the utter futility of continuing the fight. So, if you want to rephrase that and be thankful that, as horrendous as it was, millions of lives were saved, then yes, pin that one on the United States.
