@Aveokii@Insanityfan1@MizukiAlola I can read a Wiki page or watch a YouTube video if I want lore. I buy a video game to play a video game. I bought USUM and I got SM remix. That doesn't do anything for me because I'm not a fanatic that says "more, please!" when Game Freak tries to take a piss in my mouth
@Aveokii@Insanityfan1@MizukiAlola You're really taking my opinion about a game franchise you like personally, huh? This isn't an actual argument you're giving me here. You're not even defending it, you're just saying "the lore justifies the price!" This is sad. Lore is a bonus, not the foundation.
@Aveokii@Insanityfan1@MizukiAlola main campaign all over again almost note for note the same.
People don't play these games for the story, even fewer for "what does this mean for the overall Pokรฉmon lore?" I'm not spending $40 for either of those.
@Aveokii@Insanityfan1@MizukiAlola This is Pokรฉmon, dude. I've been playing since I was 5 starting with Emerald and even I am not that invested. The lore and a different version of a story that wasn't terribly engaging in the first place since it hardly has time to develop isn't gonna carry playing SM's
@Insanityfan1@MizukiAlola I've actually come to the point where I would say "yeah, why did those exist?" I don't remember enough detail to the differences between Y, C, or E to defend them, and while I could argue that USUM logistically COULD have been a DLC route while they couldn't have, it's just
@Insanityfan1@MizukiAlola more consistent for me to take the stricter approach of "the enhanced versions were always a questionable practice, but even worse after they demonstrated with B2W2 that they could just make sequels which are way more interesting conceptually and in practice"
