Clint tried to jump off the cliff because he wanted to erase the dark years he spent acting as the killer Ronin.

Natasha tackled him to the ground because she wanted to ensure that her own ledger of past mistakes was finally wiped clean.

Natasha’s death was not actually an act of love for Clint. Instead, it was about her inability to live with the quiet emptiness that would come after the war was over.

She chose the cliff because dying to win a stone was much easier for her than trying to figure out who she actually was without a mission to fight for.
