ARRESTED: 56-year-old Rodney Stewart Presley of Pensacola.
At around 6:11 pm on Monday, June 8, 2026, PCSO deputies responded to a reported crash scene on US 27 at Citrus Ridge Drive in Davenport.
When they arrived, the deputies learned that one of the drivers had fled the scene by removing an electric bike from his Ford F-150 and riding it away.
The driver of the Ford was determined to be Rodney Presley.
When Rodney fled, he left behind his female passenger. Fortunately, she was not injured.
The other vehicle, a Toyota Corolla, was driven by a 29-year-old female from Venezuela who is in the United States illegally.
She was not injured in the crash, but was taken into custody and placed on an ICE hold.
Deputies were able to locate Presley at a Circle K store on US 27 in Haines City. He was arrested and taken to the Sheriff's Processing Center where he was charged with Leaving the Scene of a Crash with Property Damage (M2) and Driving While License Suspended/Revoked (M2).
